Term break ending...

Time passes real fast. My term break is coming to an end. It's not holiday exactly but actually study week. Boring man... Been craving for mooncakes the past few weeks. Finally fulfilled my temptation. B and I got mooncakes frm Swensen yest (the one on the left in the pic) for both our families. They are ice-cream mooncakes. We chose chocolate, vanilla, durian and macademia. The mooncakes on the right are given by my cousin who dropped by my house this morn. Those are frm Breadtalk. I'm currently short of the snow-skinned ones (my personal all-time fav) though. Hmmm...

Went OG to shop with my mom this afternoon while my bro went over, together with my dad, to my cousin's house to repair his comp. Managed to snag the 2 tops (below). The white baby-doll spagh is very exp, $39.90. Luckily, there was 20% discount. The pink one was selling at 50% off for 9 bucks only.

Really detest OG's promotional and management styles. I dun feel any special being their members for 3 or 4 consecutive years already. They practically have sales all year round such tat I dun really use the membership card except to accumulate points. And the points are really useless cos u can only use it to exchange for damn lousy items (E.g. China-made cutleries, awful watches and bags). Not only so, u have to fork out a few more dollars for those items on top of your loyalty points. I feel tat it is juz a gimmick to make customers come bk and exchange for the items cos they won't wan the points to be wasted. On the other hand, they would also shop around upon seeing so many promotions. And then they would get the membership again for merely spending $75. It's juz one whole cycle to cheat ppl (esp those aunties) of their monies. I said I'm gonna write in to the management. I asked the staff for their website. My mom told the guy I was going to complain abt OG. The guy was kinda taken bk. But my mom quickly reassured him tat I wasn't gonna complain abt him or the service. He told us he's also not happy working there and today was his last day. Lol... Looks like OG has got loads to improve on. Otherwise, I think it wun last for long.

Had dinner at my aunt's house. She cooked gigantic prawns which were very delicious. Alright, gotta get bk to my books now. *sigh* I'm running out of time. After my tests then i'll go complain abt OG :p

Term break

Went bk sch the past 2 days to do project. Then I went shopping after project on Mon with Carisse and movie at Great World with B on Tue. Didn't buy much frm my shopping trip. Only got a new mascara for myself.

The pic isn't very clear. It's Fasio's in Pearl Olive. The color didn't come out as bright as i expected on the lashes though. (I got B's present too. But cannot post the pic yet otherwise he would noe wat it is. Hint: It's kinda huge tat i got no idea how to wrap it. Itching to find out B? Haha... U gotta wait and find out...)

Collected the hair dye tat I won frm Cleo cos I helped them in a survey the other time and was the first dunno-wat-no to submit. Their office is at Collyer Quay, the Arcade. It's near Shenton Way actually.

Bought this pencil case at Precious Tots of Great World. Doesn't it look so sweet? It's not meant for me lah. It's for my niece cos her bday is tmr. Happy Birthday, Mun Yee!

Shit man... I dun have the mood to study for my upcoming tests at all. Didn't touch my notes at all. Think it would be kinda difficult to cultivate the mood. Nv had a sem where all my mods have mid-term tests. Still dun feel the urgency yet. (Wat am i saying? I dun even sense the urgency for any exam. LOL...). I hate studying!!! I prefer to do tutorials or reports a million times more. *sigh*

P/S: Mango having 10% sale storewide tmr. Doubt i'm going though cos this season's clothes dun seem to appeal to me...

It's been a long week

Woah...I'm right on the dot. The clock juz struck 12 midnite exactly. It's been a week since I last blogged. Didn't really have the time. I was down with sore throat, flu, cough etc. I seldom fall sick. But when i do, it's terrible. Was sleeping most of the time partly due to the medicine which made me drowsy and mostly becos i seriously need the rest. Doc wanted to give me MC but i didn't take cos uni dun really require them anymore unless there're tests or exams. I went sch anyway cos i have project meeting.

Damn... Shouldn't have gone, waste my time only. One of the member wasn't there cos she had tutorial. Another one who was there could be treated as semi-present. She didn't bring her surveys which was the crucial part of our meeting. Hence, we were hardly productive. We compiled the rest of the surveys and i threw the compilation to her to do on Excel. I absolutely detest slackers. She could even said nonchalantly tat she forgot there's a meeting today. Since she could treat the group meeting so lightly, i did likewise to her. I treated her as invisible while talking to the other members. Nv look her in the eyes once. I wish there was another year 2 student other than me in the group. Mayb things might have been different. ok... Mayb i'm stereotyping here but who cares. This's my blog and I say wat i want.

Sat for the language test on Fri. It was open-book and all. Saw ppl brought dictionary there. *sigh* I should have done the same. Didn't noe whether the word 'bike' came frm bicycle and another word or only bicycle itself. Oh well, it's over already. Shalln't think abt it anymore. Hope i'll do ok for it.

Haven't ran for a 2 weeks already. Needa build up my stamina all over again. Sian man... This is the start of my term break yet I couldn't enjoy. Been rushing tutorials yest and today cos there's econs discussion on mon and the i-dread-most language project on tue. Then, i have to study for 4 more upcoming tests... I guess having things to keep me occupied is also a good thing...

Sore throat

I tot my throat was supposed to get better after drinking gallons of water and barley. But it's getting frm bad to worse. Woke up with an ulcer this morning and my throat is getting more painful. I wonder if i'll lose my voice by tmr. I hope not cos i got a presentation on Tue.

My schedules are very bad these days as well. I have Language test next fri. Then it's 1 week break and more tests after sch reopens again. My niece's PSLE is frm 4/10/06 to 9/10/06. I wonder if i have time to coach her then. [Her mom made mooncakes for us today. But i dun like cos it's durian flavor :( ]Frm my notebook:
4/10/06 Management Science test
6/10/06 Macro Econs test (also B's bday)
7/10/06 Genes & Society test (imagine having to go bk on a Sat at 5pm some more)
*Managerial Accounting test yet to be announced yet*

This is so sickening man. I still considering s/u for genes. Most likely i'll do so since i know nuts abt Bio. Up till now, i still got no idea of wat i have learnt. In other words, u can say tat I have learnt nothing. Zilch. Haha... Dunno y i can still laugh abt it. Haiz... I think this sem is gonna be disastrous.

This's my little pig. He's become real fat nowadays. Look at him he's juz eating, drinking or sleeping... (2nd pic is kinda blur. He's basically trying to snatch the food.) I putting him on diet. Haha yeah i seriously do tat...

Hectic day

Had MS lect in the morn. Then, I rushed over to the Forum to do the Language project. Nearly couldn't even have lunch cos I gotta get over to Science for Genes lect. But i called Carisse and she was having lunch at the cafe next to Forum. So i went over to meet her and had some pasta. I gotta say it didn't taste tat nice. Too dried, not the spaghetti kind and the ingredients were awfully few. Tasted more like marcaroni though... Eww...

Waited damn bloody long for the freaking internal bus which goes to Science faculty. Ended up taking bus 95 instead cos we were running late. After Gene lect, I gotta rush bk cos I have tuition at 5pm. Could barely breathe thoughout the day. Now I'm juz managing to catch some breath. Felt a sense of achievement cos I already finished the MA tutorial for next week even b4 tmr's lect. Haha... By right, I could give it a miss right? Hmmm...

Forgot to mention Dian's sis got into SIA. Congrats! And Dian is going to Bintan this Friday. This lucky gal seems to be travelling ever so often. Even though it's her co's "retreat"(which is a sort of learning experience), i think it's still fun. Enjoy yourself, gal!

Oh and I have managed to increase my running distance already. It's around 3.5km. I run in the park which leads to Chinese & Japanese Garden. But this means more walking too *chuckles*. I still got a long way more b4 my stamina can really build up...

*P/S: Notice the new pic on my left column? Courtesy goes to B... Thanks...*

Feet aching

Went shopping with Dianna today after sch. She took half day off cos of her dental appt at Mount Liz. Such a coincidence, I actually met her on the bus while on the way to Orchard. I got a hunch b4 tat already so I msged her but she didn't reply. Haha... We are really fated. But knowing blur-blur Dian, she didn't notice me at the back of the bus. I keep stretching my head, wanting to call out to her. The guy sitting beside me even said "Wave to her if tat's ur fren lah". I was kinda taken bk, didn't noe I was so obvious. Hence, I decided to call her hp instead.

Saw a tube dress tat i like very much at Taka Zara. It's those retro design which is very popular nowadays. There were 3 colors: black, red and green. I liked black which is the last piece in S size. Didn't buy it cos I convinced myself tat there would be more at Far East. I did get a dress frm Far East for only $17 which i bargained down frm $19.90 cos there were some stains. But it's not those retro design. It's juz a normal spagh dress.

Had dinner at one of the stalls on the top floor of Far East. Dian bought a pair of stripped leggings frm Mango. Can't picture her dressing up like those Jap/Korean whereby u wear the leggings under a mini skirt though. Haha... Went over to the Zara at Wheelock after tat. Sad to say they dun have S size there. So we walked bk to Taka's Zara. Arrgh it was sold already!!! Regret man... Wished I had bought it earlier on...

Found out tat MNG membership requires min purchase of $300 now. Gosh... They are really getting more high-class. The apparels cost more too as compared to the past. *sigh*

Hey S, I dun follow ur train of thought. I'm not the type of gal. If i go into a r/s, I would want it to be lasting. I have treated u as a very good fren all along. And like I said in my previous entry, there wun be any lasting happiness. So i rather not lose u as a fren cos u also agree tat couples dun become frenz after breaking up. U got it now? I believe u'll find a gal suitable for u one day...

Potent Martel & Chivas

Another weekend has come and gone. First of all, let me wish Shawn a 'Happy 21st Birthday!' (Thanks for the Absolute Vanilla at Acid Bar). I hope my gift can fit and u'll like it.

Went OG with my mom on sat and had drinks at Boat Quay with Eugene & frenz. (Thanks for saving me frm rotting at home). Basically, we were pub-hopping cos they had drinks leftover frm everywhere. I think martel and chivas make really good sleeping aid. I was completely knocked out after i came home. At least i rem to take off my lens this time round. Haha... I'm glad I no longer get the rashes aftermath. Neither do I get any hangover which is a good thing.

Is it true tat we'll be better off being loved than to love someone? Sometimes I wonder why dun i juz hook up with someone right b4 me instead of pinning for someone else. Hmmm... I think tat's because we all know there won't be any lasting happiness...

Do I look like I have lotsa troubles? Hmmm...

Cooping up...

My mom is so weird. When I go out too often, she'll make hell lotsa noise. Now when I stay at home, she also probes. Is there some kind of problem? Haha ok i guess it is kinda funny for me to stay home cos i'm definitely not a home-body. Of cos there's more to things. But I dun wish to elaborate here.

Work is also piling up with the projects gearing up. I feel as if I'm drowning again. Suddenly, there's too much for me to cope. I hope I wun break down. Haiz... Nv gotten down to look thru genes TB yet and lects gonna resume next week. I'm dying man. Someone help me!!!

Anyway, I'm really proud tat my little push got Wayne to do up his blog after so long. He's finally gotten his blog up on Wed. He told me tat he was going to let me know his blog address once he's done it. But it's been a few months since he last said tat. Keep it up Wayne! And Happy Birthday too!! :)

Slack

I'm so lazy to go sch on these 2 days of these 2 weeks. Cos there's only 1 lecture in the morn. Too lazy to even dress up. Tat's y I juz threw on a spagh top over a pair of shorts. My bro said i look like i was going to the mkt. JL was worse. He said I like nv change out of my sleeping clothes. Hello... At least the attire is frm Mango still.

Today is the 2nd tuition session. My niece is still getting mixed up on things like area and circumference. She noe the formula but isn't good at applying. And I gotta drill her on her units etc. She kept forgetting to write them and lost marks cos of them. She's easily distracted too. While doing her assessment halfway, she started laughing. I tot wat was funny abt it then she told me my nephews (her cousins) frm opp block are climbing their windows and trying to fly kite. (FYI: I got relatives living next block as well).

Haha... I think my family is a weird and funny bunch. Always doing things tat others dun. Supposed to go shopping with Carisse tmr but she can't make it at the last min. So I guess i shall continue to slack at home tmr...

Small small world

I live in a small, small world. Y do my frenz seem to revolve in circles? First, it was JL. No i dun think he was the first, mayb only 1st in NUS. Can't rem those b4 him. Then now it's Marcus. Apparently this is the Marcus tat Shawn was referring to. I tot he was talking abt another Marcus in my econ class all along cos he seems to fit the description.

The Marcus tat i noe didn't seem to be frm ACJC and seem to be frm poly instead. At least tat's wat i tot. I met him thru s***ing. I only found something amiss today when he told me he's frm navy too. Turns out he noe the other Marcus as well. Both of them r frm AC, navy and goes clubbing together. I was like "Are u guys twins or wat?". Hmmm... Interesting. There's always a link of some sorts. So at the end of the day, actually my frenz all noe each other...

Back to PSLE

I'm tutoring again. This time it's for my niece (granddaughter of the uncle who juz passed away). My useless bro did not wanna accept the task. His reason being: He dunno how to teach. Yah rite. He's still unemployed at the moment. Dun bother exclaiming. I'm way past tat stage already. So tell me can i say 'no' in particular to family and relatives? It's not nice turning them down esp when it's urgent and in need of help. I meant real HELP.

So with a "Yes" frm me, she came right over to my house. It's her PSLE this year. God, it's like a month away frm the her grand finale. And her grades are atrocious. Her maths and science for prelim got 30 plus only. Her languages are not tat fantastic either. Around 60+ if i'm not wrong. Thinking back, i think my mom would have hacked me if I have gotten such results. Ok, mayb she's partly forgiveable cos her prelim week was during the funeral. But then again, I think she should have at least scraped thru with a pass.

She had a tutor all along. But something cropped up and the tutor can only make it like once a month. Hence, her dad decided to call us up. I was wondering y her dad couldn't coach her when he's a teacher in Hong Kah Sec himself. Turns out he teaches design and technical stuffs. She has a bro in Yuhua Sec too but he isn't of much help also.

I really hope i can help her in this one month. It's kinda too late already and there's only this much I can do. She's frm Jurong Primary which is my alma mater. I hope she wun let us down. She's quite bright actually. She was able to do most of the questions in the assessment book. Thing is, she made tremendous careless mistakes. Like she'll miss out the unit or multiply wrongly which will result in redundant marks being deducted. I can't say the same for her exams though. She completely can't solve some at all or only get the first 2 steps correct. I dun blame her, think the paper was quite tough. I was stumped over some problems too and took me awhile to solve them.

Kids nowadays are so poor things. They have to study more topics and wider coverage. Wat in the world is "tessallation"? I have nv heard this word for 21 years of my life until today. Seems like they are tested on IQ stuffs as well. Things like how Pattern 6 will turn out after showing u Pattern 1 to 4. It's really quite complicated. I really praying for her tat the PSLE wun turn out to be so tough...

New skin

I noe wat's ur first reactions when u guys see my new blog skin. U must be thinking tat i'm dying to get married. Lol... It's not tat but i juz simply lurve the design and colors. The entire theme and its headers are special too. The notion is not completely false either. I gotta be lying if i said tat thought nv crossed my mind. But then, it's not the time yet...

Been pondering over wat Shawn said the other day. Even though he might be so inexperienced when it comes to this field, wat he said seems to make sense. He said tat if u love someone, u would love everything abt him/her. Meaning tat u'll love both his/her pros and cons. U would have to accept even the shortcomings. Am I or have I been able to do so? I dunno. Are u?

Angel wears prada too

It's been quite a long time since i've been to the movies. Watched "The devil wears prada" yest at Cineleisure. It's a pretty good show i must say. Very funny and a fantastic sneak peek into the fashion world. I swear i caught a glimpse of Mango in the show. Haha... I'm still a big fan of Mango, so can't blame me. Forgot to mention tat Mng sent me their catalogues the other day. So happy (I dun need to go down to their outlets juz to get them anymore). Dream jobs do come with killer bosses. How true is tat... I do wish to get inside MNG someday (as some managerial position of cos, and not those retail assistants). Mayb even in Barcelona? Hehe... I'm daydreaming again. Back to earth, Linda.

Been doing my tutorials the entire of today. Only managed to complete my MA tutorial and a teeny bit of econs. *sigh* Why does level 2 modules seem so difficult already? I have yet to reach level 3 yet. Can't imagine how tough tat will be. And the tutorials seem ultra-long nowadays. I'm either stuck or taking forever to complete one.

Supposed to be at Holland V now. So wat am i doing at home? I guess it wasn't a good idea to meet afterall...
