GIC
The logo above says it all :) Super duper happy! GIC called me yest to offer a one-year contract (conversion to perm depends on performance) as an Operations Analyst. The pay is extremely attractive, for grads with no honors I think. OMG! Furthermore, my future boss (Jessica) who was interviewing me then told me there might be another round of interview. I'm so lucky that they decided to skip the 2nd round of interview and at the same time offer me a salary higher than what I have stated to expect. How can one ever say No to such an offer, especially when U r a fresh grad with no experience and whatsoever? No way man. I could only go "Yes, yes, yes!".
I kept smiling to myself after receiving the call while at Chinatown yest (Erm... still smiling right now actually. Haha...). Dear thinks that I have gone crazy. Haha... Did I make U proud? Must earn more than me in future ok? Muahaha... It feels so good to finally clinch a big fat job. The HR personnel said she would have the contract ready by Friday for me to sign and I will start work after CNY. Yippee!
I told my supervisor at AXS today that my last day would be next Tuesday. His jaws practically dropped to the floor when he heard about my job offer from GIC. Daddy says I could be earning more than him, tat's y. Haha... So funny. Got the kick when U sack the boss instead of the other way round. My supervisor asked whether I still wanna work for them on weekends. U gotta be kidding me man. I'm not short of money and I'm packed enough with my OT in future.
Somehow, a shadow seem to be lurking somewhere though. I'm about to step out into the real working world soon. But still unsure of being capable of handling so much responsibility or not. Oh well, I guess I need to build up my confidence level some more and kept reassuring myself that I CAN DO IT in the mean time. I think I should be able to get the hang of things sooner or later.
Was worrying about how I'm gonna answer my relatives when they question about my job-hunting during CNY. At least now I could set my mind at ease alr and it would also spare me nagging from my mom. Alright, better do all I want these 2 weeks (like going for a run or going supper etc) otherwise no time in future :(
I'm really fortunate I think. I wanna thank my lucky star :)

Vivo City
Worked yesterday morning then met Carisse for lunch at Vivo. I haven't seen her since school has ended. She looked pretty with her newly-rebonded hair.
After lunch, we walked around abit and I bought another pair of heels. Shit man... I have been buying shoes non-stop lately, always with the excuse "For work lah", when I haven't even found a decent job.
I like flowery designs~ Anyway, I have been hooked to Photoshop. I think it's addictive. It's really fun to edit your own photos. 
Then we went up to the roof top of Vivo and sat down to chat. There's so much to talk about. Both of us unemployed, yet at the same time feeling like Tai-tais. Lol... We talked non-stop for several hours. Sometimes we would be interrupted by calls from some agencies. Nevertheless, it was great meeting up. We should have more of such sessions while we haven't start work. Haha...
Thought I lost my keys when I got home yest. Couldn't find it in my bag. I was searching frantically through the whole house. Used my torch to look underneath beds and cupboards as well. I got so fed up that I shook my bag real hard again. Then, I think I heard the familiar sound of my keys. DAMN IT! There was a hole in one of the compartments and the keys have dropped into the base of the bag. No wonder I couldn't find it -_-" Blurness has got to be my greatest weakness.

PGP and Dinner
Went over to Cheng Wei's hostel at PGP yest.
Her room is very colorful. Not very big but cosy...

I had a fantastic time chatting with U the entire night. I'm glad that U found her. Meet up again soon, k?
I have so much to do today. Explore Photoshop, read up on GIC, find out where their office is, prepare my suit for the interview tomorrow (Should I wear my new heels to the interview? Hee...) and I'm going shopping in the evening. Alright, I shall get going after lunch...

Heels
Finally, it's here. Went through a lot of trouble to get this pair of heels from US. Shared the online order with my coll. But there were many disagreements as to meeting up, postage and the transfer of money because she has resigned from AXS. Almost the whole office knew about this saga between me and her cos I consulted our supervisor while she spoke to another coll. I swear I wouldn't purchase anything online anymore. Simply couldn't trust ppl. I think it's a mutual thing. She thinks that I'm refusing to pay while I wonder if she even ordered for me in the first place. I'm so glad Dian and Carisse didn't share with us. Otherwise, there might be more troubles and they could not get their items too.
I have an interview at GIC this Friday. Seriously, I'm getting sick of interviews. Kinda waste my time cos I seldom hear from them after that. Ok, I think I probably suck at interviews. But still I think it wasn't that bad. If they were only looking for graduates with good honors (meaning first class), then why bother asking ppl w/o honors to go down for interviews? Hate people asking whether I have started work etc. If I have, then I wouldn't be so free blogging now and always on MSN lah. I choose to ignore and not reply. Dun ask anymore... I'm stressed enough. -_-"
Went Giant just now with my parents. Mommy is on MC as one of her eye is bloody red. I got many goodies like Oreo, pineapple tarts, mini ice-cream cones. Fat, fat, fat! Am meeting CW later this evening. I'm sooo excited about our girls' nite. Haven't really caught up with her since she got back from New York which is like more than half a year already. Alright, I need to help Dear design some poster for his school's competition. Otherwise, he's gonna nag at me again. :p

Back school
I juz got home and it's starting to rain now. Went back school today to sell my Biz policy text (@ $40! Haha...), collect my transcript as well as meet up with Jason (saw CW for a brief while too. Meet up soon, gal!). Jason and I had lunch at Munchie Monkey. I was missing the Carbonara there. But somehow the standard seem to have dropped already. Felt a pang to be back in school. It's like a final realization that I will never have books to mug anymore. After lunch, we headed over to Vivo as Jason said G2000 was having sale. He bought 2 shirts while I got 1 shirt, all at $23 each.After that, I headed over to Dear's place. Luckily his dog is locked in his parents' room. Yes, I still have phobia of dogs even though I reared one before (esp cos his dog is super fierce, will anyhow bite ppl one). Anyway, we seem to be hooked onto Yahoo's pool recently hor... Haha... Had dinner at the market near his place. Carbonara again! I suppose it will be a long while before I head to Breeko then. I wanna go shopping next week!
I'm torn between reading my storybook and watching Heroes right now. Both are so enticing. How how? Hmmm... Need to wake at 7am again tmr...

My fabulous weekend
Weekend starts on Thurs for me. Haha... Dropped by Jean Yip on Thur with Jac. Dyed my hair in preparation for CNY. After that, we had dinner at Ichiban of Novena Sq. Walked around a bit and I bought miscellanous stuffs like hair clips and body butter from Body Shop. Oh yeah I have resumed working at AXS. Almost every other day gotta wake at 7am cos my shift was at 8am. So tiring...
Yest was Daddy's birthday. He turned 60 already but still strong and healthy. Long live, daddy! Haha... Dear and I shared with my brother and bought him an arm chair. Dear fixed the chair till he was sweating. Haha thanks :)
Met Dian today as she wanted to shop for CNY clothings. We went to Bugis Village and shopped the entire afternoon. She bought a number of dresses, jeans and leggings. I found my Juicy Couture! But it's also quite expensive and alr dirtied. Otherwise, I might have considered buying. Anyway, Dian and I booked manicure appointment for CNY alr. After that, it's house-warming in the evening at my cousin's new condo, Lakeshore.
Dun really like the design though. Not much privacy if you are staying on the first (cos of the swimming pool) or seventh floor (there's a garden). Feels as though you are staying in a glass house. Even the toilet door is made of glass. Might as well dun build a door right? The towers are so close to each other that I feel U can see shadows at night even when you draw the curtains. The apartment is very cramped too. Not much space to walk around. There's also no wardrobe. You just hang your clothes on a rack. Hmmm... I wouldn't buy a house like this...
Buffet dinner by the poolside (or rather nearer to tennis court).
My super cute nephew and his sis. Soooo cute lor. I wanna pinch his chubby cheek! Working at 8am again tmr on a Sunday. Sickening... I'm going to sleep soon. Looking fwd to CNY!!!

New Year 2008
Haven't seen me on MSN the past few days? Nope I haven't been out partying. Have been down with God-knows-what. Fever could hit a high of 38.8 then down to 36.2. No appetite and my mouth has a million ulcers. Therefore, I haven't been eating much. Has definitely thin down significantly. Doc gave me normal fever, flu and cough med. I'm even having problem swallowing :( Sob didn't get to see fireworks last night...Thank goodness I have my sweetie-pie Dear who came over to accompany me the past 3 days. Thanks for taking care of me, Dear. Sorry for all the troubles though. We will go out after I recover ok? I like it when we watch shows and do masks together :)
Anyway, I think Year 2007 has been full of ups and downs. I have fallen sick for quite a few times. Seriously need to build up my immune system (This shall be one of my resolution). And I think I have had learnt a number of lessons through meaningful experiences. I believe 2008 could be better. Looking forward to the future...
Alright, I think I need to rest. Feeling cold once again. Dun think I can work tmr and Thur too. HAPPY NEW YEAR, EVERYONE!!!
