Transitions

http://www.gv.com.sg/moviedetails/gv_moviedetails_7851.jsp

Caught Friday the 13th on Fri night. No plot, just loads of scary and sexual scenes. Wouldn't have watched it if we weren't so bored. Didn't had anywhere to go after dinner at Westmall hence we decided to nua in the cinema. After the show, we were cruising around then finally stopped at Henderson wave. Haven't been there before and didn't noe such a bridge exist. I only knew of the colorful bridge at Alexandra. I must say Henderson wave is quite a nice place to hang out...

Finally met up with Jac yest after we postpone for so many times. We shopped around City Link and Suntec then settled down for dinner at Millenia Walk's TCC. Doubt I will ever dine at TCC again. Serving is so small, it's quite pathetic and price is rocket-high.
We got down to discussing our itinerary for Taipei. Our trip is less than 2 weeks away. Need some futher research though. So looking forward to taking a break from work! It's going to be so fun - shopping, eating, exploring. Can't wait!

Been rather busy at work too. Being arrowed and trying hard to avoid arrows. Tmr morning, there's a conference at DBS auditorium again from 9am to 12 noon. This time should be talk by TT on how we have performed over the last year (since financial year juz ended). Hmmm... Boss said it's compulsory that we attend. Means must go in earlier to clear my trades. Tue, wed and mayb thurs as well, I have training for new system in view of moving down to the front office. Speaking of which, date of moving has been confirmed to be 8th May. I will need to pack up my things in boxes on 6th since I will be on leave from 7th. Then, my colls/contractors will help to shift my boxes down. Feels as though I'm being sacked. Lol... *Touch wood though* When I get back from my leave in Taiwan, it will feel like a fresh start in new office. Hate the idea of shifting down from 40th floor to 32nd floor but no choice. Ok enough of whining...

Wanna iron my new clothes and take a nap...

Overdosed

Gathering with NUS frenz

Met up with NUS frenz for dinner last night. Been half a year since the last meet-up I think...

The gals... Guess who is getting hitched? It's Angelynna in white. So exciting...

We had dinner at Mad Jack. Fish & chips for me. The food was moderate lah. I ended up with their membership cos nobody wants it. Haha...

We also celebrated Yingqi's belated birthday. Our presents to her: Cute pink dress for her dog and couple Mickey and Minnie for display on Ivan's car.

After that, I had no idea where the bunch headed to. They couldn't decide between KTV and movie. Anyway, I left for Wala. Shirlyn's powerful voice is still as good!

Caught the movie "17 again" at JP today. Wanted to watch with Yufen yest but there was no time to shop and watch movie. It's a super funny comedy. Must watch! After the movie, had high tea at Bakerinz till 6+pm, just nice for me to meet my family for dinner at Thai Express. Food was so-so. Shit I'm eating loads again. Time to run again the next few days...

Aftermath

Completed the JPM Corporate Challenge on Thurs. Didn't think that I can finish running 5.6km but surprisingly I did it w/o breaking into a walk. Yeah so happy! After that, we had sumptious buffet with free flow of beer and wine. Total VIP treatment from JPM as we are their client. Such runs are actually quite interesting. Shall join more in future. Goodie pack consists of T-shirt (my coll, 4th from left, wore it), shoe bag, water bottle and lip balm. Not bad...
Fri I suggested to my colls that we go have a good and happy meal for lunch in view that it is last day of the week and we were all exhausted from the run.

We ended up at a Korean restaurant at IP.

I had some seafood Udon.

In the evening, I met CW after work. It's great meeting up after not seeing each other for a few months. Last we met was lunch at Maxwell when she was doing intern near my office in Dec/Jan.

We had dinner at Coffee Club. I ordered Grilled Salmon Linguine. It's quite nice! Love the salmon with pasta. Then we shopped around for a bit and her bf joined us. I bought 2 dresses in 2 days. Oh no!! :p

Meet up again soon, gal! And congrats on securing a good job even before graduation. So happy for U :)

Gonna meet Yufen and NUS bunch later this afternoon. A pity Carisse couldn't make it last min. Shall make an appt with her soon too. Alright, I shall go prepare already. Got the mood to make-up and prep myself up beautifully today. Haha...

Read ur blog about views on marriage and love. Everything is juz a transaction to you. How unhumane. Wonder wat brought about the change in you. Was it something I did long ago? Hmmm... Sad to say, I dun feel any slight twinge of guilt. In fact, I'm amused that I manage to bring about such a drastic change...

Food and Novels

It's been weeks since I last blogged. As usual, been eating alot here and there. Below pic - "Yuan yang" Steamboat at Bugis with DD and his colls.

Left side was chicken soup while the other side is spicy soup. Not too bad but I think we didn't really eat alot. Somehow I think the food these days are kinda overpriced. Simple and cheap ingredients like veggies, hotdogs and meats but they can charge you for way more than that.

Jessica and Jean - DD's foreign colleagues from Korean and China respectively.

Yest, we went back to Bugis again. This time for Nonya buffet. It's at this small little cafe/restaurant called 'Chilli Padi'. It's quite popular apparently. We called to book on Wed and managed to get the last table. How lucky!
Colorful Nonya kuehs. I actually took pics of some other food like Laksa, Assam etc but the pics didn't turn out nice. This is the nicest pic of them all so I am posting this only. Anyway, I think that the selction of food is very little so you aren't missing out much. It's $16 per pax (same as steamboat above). Again, I dun feel that it is very worth it as those food could be easily bought at hawker stores. DD argued that you seldom can get these food all nicely laid in front of you. Hmmm... Not really my type of food, just trying out for fun. Haha... Am craving for some Jap food now. Yummy Salmon :p

Saw these Mango advertisements on the train. They were plastered all over the cabins. How nice! I love Pink and Mango. Together, they make a great combi! Haha... They will definitely perk up my mornings if I manage to catch one of these Mango trains to work :)

Ever read this book? I have heard about it some time ago, either through word-of-mouth or on radio or something. Never get my hands on the book BUT I got to meet the authors Bill and Pam Farrel in person. My co invited them to give us a lunchtime talk. So there we were, munching on food specially catered in for us while listening to Bill and Pam. They are such a cute couple, been married for 10 over years and still very loving. Anyway, their book is about communication between a couple. Men are like Waffles because they are always in boxes. They can only be in 1 box at any single time cos they cannot multi-task. Women are like spaghetti as they are somewhat long-winded and like to take you on a journey (i.e. you should give women time and listen to all they have to say). Basically, it teaches us how to bring out effective communication between the 2 different genders. Seeing Bill and Pam in real life is good as they are able to bring out really personal experiences of themselves. Hope my co will organise more talks like this!

My manager lent me this book on Mon. Last watched the movie - Confessions of a Shoppaholic. Now, this is about an air hostess or if you would like to call it - stewardess. It's a funny, no-brainer, chick-flick book. I finished it in 2 to 3 days, my manager was so surprised that I'm a speed reader. Haha... If I like a book, it will be hard for me to put it down. Enjoyed reading the book. It's an outlet for me to chill and relax after work.

JPM corporate run coming up next! 5.6km... Cheer for me!
