Reminise
So many things going on this week. Feel as though I haven't work much yet I still work late into the night. Visited offsite office yest which will be activated in times of emergency. The trip alone took up my entire afternoon. It ended at 5.30 and I didn't have to go back office. Hence, I went shopping with my coll at Junction 8.
Got this pair of grey heels for only $24. There was 30% discount. But more importantly, it is the softest and most comfortable pair of closed-back shoes I have ever found. I normally wear open-toe heels cos I will always get blisters etc when I wear such closed-back shoes. Thus, this is a good buy!
My coll and I also stumbled upon these cute animal pom-poms. Dunno why I'm into such stuffs recently. Juz got a tortoise the other time from JB and a sheep from Esprit. Now I got some more chicks and pig. My coll also got 2 animals. Turning into a farm here. Lol... Oh well... Juz take turns to hand them as my hp charm. Haha...
Came back home and checked my email last nite. 180 emails in just one afternoon. OMG... I hate year-end closing. Cleared and replied my emails till close to mid nite. So tiring man, that this morn I overslept again. And when I got into office today, my phone was flashing red lights indicating numerous missed calls and voicemails. Another hectic day as I rushed to do my stuffs in time for a talk at 10.30 and my lunchtime pilates class. In the afternoon, we headed to DBS auditorium for Townhall. GMD talked about the recent progress, pay and bonus. Shall not elaborate, let's just say it's going to be extremely 'modest' and there is pay freeze for senior mgmt. Dun think I will be affected much, since whatever amt I get will be pro-rated. Talk ended close to 6pm. Still need to trudge back to office to clear all the backlogs. Left after 7.30 *sigh* Tired, tired, tired...
Bumped into someone on the train back. Someone whom you seem to know very well but yet felt like strangers. A bit like so near yet so far kind of feeling. Ever get that kind of feeling? Both of us looked up, saw each other then pause for a moment before exchanging a brief smile. She was my best fren in pri sch. We knew each other since Kindergarten and she stayed just opposite my block. Somehow, we drifted apart when she went to EM1 and subsequently Raffles Girls and we have lost contacts. Though we sometimes met at the bus stop in the past when we waited for bus to NUS, we have never spoken to one another. Gotta admit, I'm not one to be vocal or initiative and probably tat's why I have lost many friends along the way. A sense of regret... Anyhow, I do cherish the friends that I have around me now. Thanks :)

Lazy and Rainy Saturday
Such a lazy and rainy sat afternoon. Finally met up with Carisse after 3 months. Had our pedi/mani session at Far East again. It wasn't so good this time round. My nails has those air bubbles cos apparently the top coat that they used was quite lousy.
Bad shopping day too. I didn't really buy anything. Got a Giordano umbrella cos it was raining heavily in Orchard. I also bought 3 slices of Oreo cheese cake from Bakerinz cos they were having 50% off. Ordered a top from Osmose cos they ran out of stock for the size that I want. Means I need to go down again to collect one of these days. Carisse ordered a skirt too.
I'm looking around for dresses. Any good recommendation for places which sell nice dresses/ Little Black Dress (LBD)? I have been scouting around but to no avail. Colls suggested to me Chinatown and I went down with DD yest. But there are quite a number of shops there and I dun really noe which is the exact store that they were saying. Better wait for them to bring me there instead...

JPM Corporate Challenge
I must have been out of mind to register for this Corporate Challenge. Wat was I thinking? Haha... Have been contemplating for several days whether to join. Then today, I gather a few colleagues and we join together. I thought to myself juz heck and go for it lah. 5.6km shouldn't be so bad rite?
Though I have been running regularly, I have never ran that distance. Nv join such challenge (can't call it a marathon right?) before. It ought to be quite interesting. DD said he wanted to join too but he will be going overseas again during tat period. The registration is supposed to cost $50. Co is going to fully subsidize for us. Yeah so I get to join for free and at the same time get a great workout. Prob I really should train and go longer distance during my weekly evening run so that I won't embarrass myself infront of colls and other banks. Haha...
Work has been so monotonous these days. I have already done fixed income for all regions, from US to Asia Pacific to Europe. It might be a job that ppl may envy - Knock off on time and still earn a comfortable pay. Somehow, I dun feel perfectly contented. Everyday has already become a routine for me. Sometimes, I got the quirky urge to drop everything and go travelling. Reminds me of the time I jet off to HK for exchange without a worry in the world. If I ever have the chance, I will do it again...
Oh well, shall look fwd to the upcoming short trip to Taiwan in May with Jacinta. Speaking of which, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to this lovely gal (in advance as her bday is tmr). Have a smashing day cos U totally deserve it. I'm glad to have such an understanding and accomodating good fren like yourself :)
