Salesman

Didn't really feel like blogging cos I'm too lazy. But this thing has been weighing on my mind. I juz tot I need to clarify. U asked me recently how come I didn't bother to tag or comment on your graduation coming from a friendship of our closeness. It certainly isn't because of your occupation.

It's because of what you blogged that hurt ppl's feelings. Yeah I'm that childish. I juz felt as though I've become 'joke of the day' for all to read. Sure, you can say that you aren't referring to me. I think it's plain obvious even to a 5 year-old child. Anyway, what I have been waiting for was an apology.

But what I got in return was juz more and more sales tactics. I remember U asked me a question when we were at the prata shop near my place (it was still opened then). U asked if I will despise you if you ever go into the insurance line. No, I don't even till today. I only wish you know when to stop though.

I have NEVER encountered any other bank officer or sales assistant who is so persistant. Just won't give up despite numerous tries and rejections. I'm horrified to know that you have also tried the same with my own frenz. That was why I was reluctant for you to join our dinner the last time. I would rather you go meet your pretty lil girlfriend.

What's ur aim of all these? U told me to achieve 5k per month by the end of this year. Oh I'm happy for you that you always have such big amibitions. Believe me, I do. Juz dun think that everyone is and must be like you. I'm content with where I am and what I'm doing. At least I dun have to go around being such a pest. I'm sorry you had to resort to this. Whatever happened to integrity and ethics? And you call this true friendship?

*Sigh* I shalln't go on anymore. Just leave me out of this. Thank you.

Saving up

Ok, I think I have enough of Coach, LV and Gucci. Won't be buying any more bag for the next few months. Shall save up and maybe splurge again when I get my increment in Nov or 13th mth in Dec. Perhaps will need to look at some investments soon too...

Anyway, I will go for something more exotic next. Chanel or Christian Dior... Their bags easily cost 3-4k but at least you don't see it so common on the streets. Dun fancy carrying the same bag with someone on the train. Also, my manager can get 25-30% off DFS cos she has some contacts.

Commencement'09

Nv thought that I will step into my alma mater again. But I did yesterday with a great cause as my good frenz have graduated!

CW was the one to inform me of the event and invited me to the commencement.

Last but not least, I also took photo with my weekly lunch buddy now - Yufen.

Wanted to catch a few other frenz like Wei Jing and Boon. But WJ's phone low batt so was uncontactable. I reminded myself to look for Boon+Cindy the night before. But totally forgot abt it when I was there. Short term memory... Anyway, just wanna say I'm so proud of all of you. Congratulations upon graduation! All the best to each of your career. I really miss those days when we had so much fun in school. Oh well, getting too old for that now. Keep in touch ppl!

Sometimes, I wonder if it would make any difference if I had stayed one more year in sch to complete my honors. No idea at all. But what I can say is I have no regrets. The one and a half year of working experience is invaluable. And also, if I had graduated one year later, I would have landed right smack in the centre of the financial crisis when Lehman collapsed. I doubt I would have gotten this current job as well because everywhere was freezing headcount and retrenching. For now, everything status quo is good :)

Ritz Carlton Greenhouse

Quite a number of pictures in this post. To be specific, they are photos of food. Still eating non-stop by the way...

A random lunch date with Rizwan and Carisse last week. Introducing Quiznos - A new sandwich chain which my colls are crazy over recently. It's very much like Subway.

Went NDP Rehearsal preview last Sat. KW got some tickets so there I was with Dianna. I must say this year's quite interesting. Given that it was on the floating platform, they were able to show off some 'stunts' in the waters. Shall not reveal too much. Catch it on TV on National Day or watch it live if you are 1 of the lucky ones with tickets.

Was at Ritz Carlton Greenhouse for its lunchtime buffet yesterday. As mentioned in my previous post, this was supposed to be Ben's farewell Part 2. But poor guy was down with shingles or something so couldn't come. Awww... U missed out on the good food, Ben. Our bosses treated us (cos their bonus must be so much fatter than ours lah) and anyway there's 50% discount (some promo going on where you just need to make reservations 5 days in advance).

To clarify, the food in all these pics were eaten solely by myself (except for some of the desserts which I shared with my coll) Aren't you amazed? Yeah I can eat THAT much. Haha... Go buffet must whack lah. Some more this one so high end kind. Lol...
