No work for Moi!

Didn't noe the facilities on coaches are so good these days. You could watch movies and play games. I didn't use much though, was snoozing most of the time...

The very first Mango outlet that I discovered. The clothes are priced around those that we saw during the usual Mango sale. But as with the sales, there are not many nice clothings lying around. Oh yeah... There are a few other nice shops too. I actually bought 3 pairs of shoes (for a total of abt $50 only) from Vincci and bra from Blush which was having up to 70% discount. Cheap cheap...

Buffet breakfast every morning. The first breakfast was complimentary of the hotel. The 2nd one we paid ourselves but it was quite cheap, around $10 only.

My fav MarryBrown. Notice the skin of the chickens have come off alr. We couldn't resist eating and I always forgot to take pics until we have eaten several bites already. Trust me, this is so much better than KFC.

DD getting his feet bitten by those Doc fishes. They say the fishes are really good at removing dead skin for you.

So rare that I'm home in the middle of the week, aka a weekday. I must say, it feels really shiok! Slept till 1pm and still lazing in bed while the rest of the world is working their ass off. It's back to work tmr though. I'm dreading it so much...

Gal frenz

Good gal friends normally share many things in common. Here are examples of a few:

Mine and Yufen's. Totally identical. I'm proud to say that I start this trend going among my frenz to bring M)phosis pouch to lunch.

Dian's and mine again. Dian got a design which is a little different. She said we go lunch together so often so dun wanna mix up.

I got back late tonite from my manicure session with Dian. Our nail colors look the same in this pic. But mine is more towards brown while hers is more reddish. I saw this promo in Cleo and asked her along. 50% discount and it costs $11 only! I must say the service is superb even though they are offering at such a low price. From the beginning of cutting your nails, cleaning up the cuticles to mint lotion massage to drying your nails and even after-sale service to touch up for free for the first 2 days, it's really excellent. Visit Nailz Story to give them a try. It's at 5th storey of Far East Plaza.

Most shops were closed by the time we were done with the manicure. We have yet to eat dinner lor. I was rather hungry. We decided to give this Jap fast food look-alike restaurant a try which is at the front row Far East Plaza. The concept is very refreshing. There is no counter nor waitress to take your orders. Instead, you use these 2 machines just like those AXS/SAM where u pay bills via the touch screen. They have slots for you to insert bills and for your change. Then, the person will call you when your food is ready and you just need to collect somewhere near the kitchen. I suppose this really works in Japan and mayb tat's y they are bringing it over to Spore.

I had Teriyaki Salmon while Dian had Teriyaki Chicken. I'm dead beat now. Back is aching. Dunno why but work has been piling and piling. It's up to my neck level now and I'm drowning soon. I dun seem to have enough time at work. Always trying my best to do the fastest yet most accurate I can (cos alot of $$$ is involved). So lack of time that I even have to run to and fro inside office. No, make that sprint to the fax machine and back. Colls from other depts even instant-message me, so surprised to see me rushing here and there. Oh well, I'm learning more and more each day but I hope I won't get bowled over by all the work.

Alright, enough of work for now. It's a super long weekend and break for me. On leave and I'll only return to office next Thur. Haven't really rested since working for close to half a year now. Other ppl have been taking MCs and leaves. I haven't been absent except for the half day for my convocation. Ok, I need to pack my bag for my getaway... Be back soon....

Cards

The banks are pretty efficient these days, I must say. I juz submitted my applications last week and I got my cards already.

DBS Alumnus debit card. I have ceased to use UOB debit cards as the mini card has been dephased and I absolutely hate the ugly NOW card. Therefore, I applied for this one.

I also supp this Lady's card to my mom. I know she will like the rose. Haha...

I wish the UOB card came 2 days earlier though. G2000 is having sale, came across it while I was out for lunch with Yufen (waiting for her to post our pic). I bought this dress at 50% off. Members have additional 15% while UOB card members have 10%. Damn! I have neither! Hence, I was not entitled to further discount. An auntie in front of me in the queue offered to lend me her UOB card but I got no cash to pay her lah. Anyway, I was looking for shirts for future interview. Couldn't find any formal and appropriate ones. This dress is a tad formal, probably could wear it for interviews.

I'm off to JB alr. Gotta run. Ciao...

Sun @ Central Mall & JP

Finally met up with Chin Ru, Angie and Jay all together after lapse of one year. I could still remember vividly the fun we had in Hong Kong last year. Thanks Chin Ru for organising and gathering us for lunch on a lazy Sunday noon :)
Angie, Chin Ru and Me.

After that, I headed to JP to meet Dian. The last time that i went JP together with Dian was during secondary sch bah. After we have grown up, we started hanging out in town etc. So many sweet memories today. Haha... We walked around for quite a bit then had an early dinner at one of the Japanese restaurants of the new wing in the basement.

I suppose it is famous for the teppanyaki.

The cheft cooked infront of you. Everyone had to wear this funny paper apron so that the oil wouldn't stain your clothings.

Tadah... Here's Japanese pizza (Ebi) for U! I think it's quite normal lei. In fact, it tastes very much like those Taiwan or Japanese pizza U can get at Pasar Malam. Ok, mayb it's slightly better and the ingredients are of a little better grade. Dian said it tastes like Tako Pachi. Lol... I doubt I will go back again...

Doesn't this bag look so familiar? Many ppl on the street are carrying this Longchamp bag. I saw this at the Pasar Malam of JP. I think it is pretty ordinary. But it looks so much like the real one, therefore, I bought it. Haven't been buying much cos I'm repaying my poly CPF loan these few months. Gonna repay $2+k this month so that I can clear my debt before it accrue more interest.

I can already feel the Monday blues creeping close. Sian sian sian...

Snipe it all off

I have cut my hair on Thursday evening. How short? Real short! Haha...

First thing Fri morn when I went work.
Boss asked my mentor: What did you do to her yesterday???
Mentor (hasn't seen my hair yet): Nothing ah...
Boss: She chopped off her hair!
Everyone came looking then...

Haha... It was so funny. Everyone at office was so shocked at my major transformation. Even the stylists at the salon were like "Are you sure U wanna cut it all off?" Most ppl said they can't bear to do it given the length was so long previously. But I'm sick of long hair bah. It has been so many years. One auntie at work even came to talk to me cos of the hair. She told me she hasn't cut short in 26 years since she gave birth to her son. OMG! At the lift lobby when I was going for lunch, peeps from other divisions were going: "Wah! Linda cut her hair!" Haha... I didn't expect such a big reaction from so many ppl. DD thinks it's not bad ah...

Weird thing is everyone asked the same old question: What drastic thing happened to me that made me cut my hair short? I had to answer it umpteem times yesterday. Nothing dramatic happened and I juz felt like cutting lor. Must something drastic happen then can cut meh? Haha... No need to over react lah...

CW and Yufen, photoshopped your faces in! Haha... Have officially graduated even though I have worked for close to half a year. This really marks an end as well as a new chapter. Everyone is going to embark on their own journey. Wish everybody all the best!
