My first Bonus!
Ok it shall be a super short post. Almost forgotten how it feels like to leave the office promptly at 6pm. Yest conference call with NY till 8 plus. Today waited for my bonus letter till 8pm. Yeah so happy with the bonus payout. Boss asked how much I was expecting b4 she handed the letter over. I said at most 1000+ lor (cos given the economic crisis and it's pro-rated for me as I'm only a perm for 5 months).Can't tell you the exact amount. Let's juz say it's several times more than wat I expected. Now I totally understand why colls always rave to me how fat and fabulous the increment and bonus are. Imagine a good year and if it wasn't pro-rated. Oh man... Ok back to earth. I'm thinking about wat I should get to pamper myself :)

Night Museum 2
Haven't had much time to blog these days. Been alternating between work, home and going out. Super tired yest after running cos I barely had 5 hours of sleep on Sun. Weather was damn hot and I tossed & turned in bed till 2 plus in the morning. Sickening summer... But somehow it makes me look forward going to work for the air-con. Haha...
Caught Night at the Musuem 2 over the weekend. Luckily you didn't have to watch the prequel to watch this show. Heard the link for continuation is not strong. Colls say Night Museum 1 is definitely better though. He's probably getting the DVD along with Da Vinci :)
Finally started on Heroes Season 3 as well. JJ passed me the show last yr and I haven't got a chance to watch it. I think Season 3 has already ended now? Dun think I could have survived watching alone w/o him. Story is too complicated and I'm alr very lost. No wonder ppl say the show is getting from bad to worse and many have stopped chasing after the episodes. Hmmm...
Am looking forward to the weekend again. It's the start of Great Spore Sale. Most prob meeting Dian on Sun to shop. And looking fwd to June cos it's bonus month! Totally forgot until my director sent out an email saying she'll be away on biz trip & letter will be given out by my Deputy Director instead. Alright, I'm going off for lunch at Maxwell with my colls now. Took this chance to blog as it was US and UK holiday yest, hence very few trades. Shall aim to sleep at 10.30pm tonight, since today is so cooling and I need to catch some winks...

Me: Huh U asking me to watch again? (I was thinking: hello were u listening? I said I juz watched it yest.)
I politely declined. Perhaps I would have given him a good lashing if it was the me few years back. I'm not the type to re-watch a movie and this isn't the Titanic kind of show where people watch it over and over again. For the record, I didn't even finish Titanic though. Haha... But anyway, moral of the story is I dun even fancy going out with this person. Some people are juz not worth ur time. Sorry to be so direct. This is Linda.
Mommy finally opened her mouth today and asked if it was officially over. I said yeah. *yawn* There comes the lecture again, my temper is bad, nobody can tolerate me etc etc. For once, I can safely say that it wasn't me this time round. Yes, he is a super ultra Mr Nice guy to everyone. That's because he rarely flares up at people whom he is not familiar with. He also doesn't control and restrict others of course. And especially at my house, he's the sweetest thing so as to impress this little tyrant's parents. What others dunno is that it was juz a facade. Mom was surprised to learn that everything is the contrary. But I dun care about what others think anymore (Uh actually have I ever? Haa...). I can be the villian forever. My conscience is clear and I have no regrets. I know that I have given all I can and it's juz not working. Hence, end of story. Period. Key word is - WHATEVER~ I shall not speak about this anymore.
Shall take a bath now and nap. Need to catch up on my beauty sleep badly. Been staying up late since I have been back frm Taipei. Driving to Holland V later for belated Mother's Day celebration. I miss the XO fish bee hoon there...

Taipei trip
1335 - that's the number of emails which greeted me when I returned to work on Wed. Was damn tired, touched down on Tue mid nite and barely had much sleep. Finally, the week is over and my weekend is here!
Like this pic :) Nicely taken at the Chiang Kai Shiek Memorial Hall. The trip was not too bad. Juz that I feel I didn't get the break/rest that I much needed. Came back feeling exhausted instead of recharged and energized. Shall take leave again once the system changeover is done. My coll has already booked 10 days leave in Nov. Damn I'll be overflooded again. Prob might need to go back office next Sat. There goes my weekend :(
Ok back to Taiwan. Tried varieties of food there. Found this the cutest. Coll has told me abt the Modern Toilet and I have seen pics about it. Managed to locate in Xi Meng Ding. Basically, the theme of the cafe is Toilet. Everything is designed using bathtubs, toilet bowls, urinals etc. Food is also served in toilet bowl with a pile of shit beside it. Haha... Unique, I like...
Taiwanese that we got to know there. We were asking our way around and these 2 gals said they were also heading to the same night market. Hence, we decided to go there together and ended up spending the night as a group. They are still schooling. This pic was taken chilling out at KFC where their teacher joined us. The teacher was so nice to send us back to our hotel at the end of the night. It impresses me that Taiwanese are so friendly and amicable, reflects well on the country as a whole. When can S'pore be so gracious man?
Another memorable event was catching the sunset at Danshui. You can really get a clear view of the sunset in the evening. Weather was cooling and it was great chilling out by the sea side. We wanted to go to a pub/villa along the shoreline (almost similar to Cafe Del Mar in our own Sentosa). However, it was so packed and we need to leave our number behind then they will call us when seats are available. We decided to forgo it and juz sit on the rock instead. Now I understand why this place is highly recommended by people and they say it's a must-go!
Sad thing is I didn't do much shopping. The summer season clothes are all about the same. Chiffon material, pink/white shade. Hence, I didn't buy much. Changed $900 but ended up spending only about $600. Bought quite a number of tissue pouches for myself and my girlies. I actually found Naraya there. Haha... Top 3 are from Naraya, the rest are from some traditional Taiwan shop where they state the pouches are made of Taiwanese silk. Dunno how true is that...
Bought numerous boxes of sun pies, pineapple tarts and some other snacks for my family and colls. Colls say the sunny pie is nice cos of the buttery taste and it's something different. Glad they like it.
Alright, I need to prepare to go out soon. Wanna watch 天使与魔鬼. Shall update again soon...

Long Weekend
Finally, a long weekend for me. Been working the last few holidays since Hari Raya last year. And since they changed the policy to pay us one day's salary instead of giving us a day off in lieu, there's not much motivation to work on PH. Nv heard of a company feeling so rich, wanna give out $$ instead of time off rite? Haha... But given a choice, I rather have more leaves lah...Was downloading songs for my MP3 and packing a bit of my luggage this morn. Went out for a short while in the afternoon, didn't tell my parents whether I wan dinner b4 I went out. Hence, they have went out and nobody was home when I came back. Means no dinner for me. Decided to go for a run. Now that my stamina has improved and I dun have to stop in the midst of my run, it's time for me to increase speed and distance. 3 rounds at the canal (4 rounds if I considered running to and fro the canal from my house. Haha...)
Been telling ppl (or mayb just him) that my aim is to be happy everyday. Prob this is everyone's aim as well. Anyway, it's been my biggest motivation these days. Dun wanna envy other couples or other pretty ladies out there anymore. I shall strive to be the best I can (at least in my own eyes) so that I won't live with regrets. First step towards this is learning how to be contented :)
Anyway, very few ppl noe about what has happened. Ppl who have no idea will ask as per normal and I will just play along. Numb and tired of explaining myself. Daddy knows the best. He saw other cars picking me up and kept the mahjong table today. He also asked me to return the shoe bag. I'm glad that there's no more restriction. I can finally breathe and live the life that I want. Diff ppl have been asking me to go running. One even suggested driving to East Coast to run for a different view. In the past, I would have welcomed the invitation and crave company. Right now, I simply enjoy running on my own and at my own pace...
