Pet Shop

My colls got this little bag for me from Vietnam. Hehe... I like it (check out the zippers!). So cute rite? It has many compartments even though it is so small. Heard S'pore is selling rather expensive but they managed to get it cheap cos it is made in Vietnam. They almost raided the whole shop over there. Haha... Now, many GIC staffs carry this small bag to lunch. As usual, I can't bear to use it. Lol...

I'm beginning to like my job. Started processing trades a few days ago. MS called me immediately after I sent out an email. Wow... Nobody warn me that they are so efficient. They sure are prompt (But they dun coordinate, another of their colls could call me while I was on the line with another). I got a scare, didn't really know how to handle calls at first. Not used to such serious level and some more it's overseas call lor. Hmmm well, my mentor said there's nothing to be scared abt cos usually counterparties are the ones who should be scared of us and I'll soon get used to it. She also added "That's the power of GIC" cos ppl usually respond fast to our queries and requests.

It's NUS and NTU's term break this week. Met Dear after work on Tue. We went to Gelare near my office and watched Kung Fu Dunk at Jurong Point. Not a very big fan of Jay Chou nor basketball so I think the movie is so-so only. Gonna meet Jac for dinner tmr. So fast it's approaching the end of the week already. And I would have worked for 3 weeks. Hmmm... For the first time, I'm not complaining about working... :)

My loot from JB

Contact lens supply for a year at RM200 which is less than SGD 100. I think S'pore is selling at around $140?

Another pair of heels from Vincci. Hehe... Dear says black is nicer but I prefer this brown one...

I got a cardigan and tube top from Mango. Kinda regret buying it in pink though. Like the sweet color but I actually need a black one more urgently cos I already have a white one. The MNG wording on the buttons of the black cardigan is also more contrasting. Hmmm... Wonder if I could change in S'pore...

We ate alot yesterday. Dear brought me to this place near Taman Sentosa where they serve super delicious curry fish head and paper-wrapped herbal chicken. I loveX1000000 the curry so much. It's very nice. Shall go back to eat again another time. After that, we had Gelatiso (not too sure of the name) ice-cream and Secret Recipe's Oreo cheese cake for desserts. Yummy... I like to go shopping in JB. It feels like a short vacation for me :)

Empty Office

I'm blogging at work once again, this time at GIC. The whole office is so quiet because most of the officers have gone on retreat. Nothing much I can do cos my account and system are still not up. I have been surfing net, playing facebook etc. The aunties aka assistants here are saying they wanna leave at 5.30pm alr. Sianzzz... I still got my report at 6.30. Think I should check on Mon morning instead? Wahaha...

Met Josh for coffee on Wed and Dear yest for dinner. We ate at Botak Jones. I think the food is so-so only lor. Not as fantastic as what I have heard abt it. But it still has many customers every day. Hmmm...

Waiting to go JB tmr. I wanna go buy contact lens and eat there! Alright, I shall go irritate my IT dept to expedite alr...

Met Dear after work and we walked around a bit. I bought a Forever Friends bear cushion for myself. Intended to bring it to office too. But Mommy said that it is too childish and will only invite gossips. Oh well, this makes me reconsider. Sian... Doing OT tmr onwards. Mentor threw me her shitty work where the report only comes at 6.30. Ppl would have knocked off at 6pm alr. This means that the earliest that I can go home is around 7pm (provided I manage to finish checking the report along with supporting documents). Wah lao...

Oh and congrats, Carisse! Am so happy for U...

Lunar New Year

Happy belated Chinese New Year to all! How fast the holiday (super long weekend) had passed just like this...

Can nv forget my cute niece every CNY and her little sis whom my mom is carrying...

I think I'm really getting old. Dun feel the least festive mood. It's the annual visiting here and there. Boring... *yawn* Oh I have watched "Ah Long Pte Ltd" and "CJ7 " over the past week. Both movies are good. Ah Long is filmed with a M'sia setting. Gotta give it to Mark Lee and Fann Wong for their hilarious acting in the movie lah. And I love the alien creature in CJ7. It's so cute!

Anyway, it was my first day at work today. Colleagues are so-so, all of them experienced and around 30 years old. They told me that GIC are encouraging its employees to take CFA and it is willing to sponsor. I dun wanna study again so soon lor. The thought of it made me very sian alr. They are puzzled how come GIC hire fresh grads for settlements these days. Lol... They brought me to a Jap restaurant for lunch. If this goes on everyday, I'm gonna be super broke :( I got nothing to do today as my mentor is on leave. My boss threw me 2 course books and 7 ppts for their systems and left me to read on my own. Next thur, my department is having a retreat to Vietnam (flying SQ lor. Now U noe where Ah gong's money goes to. Haa...) Wonder if I will get to go. Hmmm... Dun feel like going even if they count me in lei. Must change USD etc lor. I haven't gotten my pay yet lah!!!

Super shagged

Been scurrying around the past days looking for working wear as I'm going to start work soon. Met Dian last Thur and Fri for manicure session at Bugis (Fingertips sucks big time though. Lousy service and quality) and shopping at Vivo. I have gotten a number of tops. Didn't get bottoms as I already have a number of pants and skirts.

Shirts and cardigan in various shades. All covered up hor, Dear...

Atrocious PRCs! Such audacity to promote Falungong on the MRT. I bumped into them while I was travelling on the train one of the days. Those 2 ladies standing behind this article were even distributing some news letter. How come nobody arrest them one? Detest them and I won't even bother to hide it.

I'm sooooo tired today. Didn't really sleep much and well yest. Went to work at 8am this morn. Knocked off at 12pm then Eugene picked me up for lunch at IMM. The last time I saw him was before I went for my HK trip. Imagine how long ago that was. Been wanting to pass him the things (a Honda organiser cos of his Integra and a Polo Tee) I bought for him from HK. Trying to clear the stuffs in my room before CNY. Argh... After that, I headed to Concourse for GIC's pre-employment check-up. Subsequently, I shopped around briefly in Orchard as I already knew the items that I wanted to get. Then, I went home to retrieve CNY goodies to deliver to my nanny cum godmom.

My godmom and godsis got me a diamond necklace. *Bling bling* It was supposed to be my 21st birthday present but they forgot 2 yrs back. Wanted to give me last year but it coincides with a funeral so this was the best time since it was my graduation and I have found a good job. Thank U so much! Think I shall wear it for CNY...

I'm working the last day at AXS tmr. Thank god I can sleep in cos my shift starts at 1pm. However, I need to leave the house slightly earlier cos I wanna get some snacks for my colleagues. After that, it's dinner at Dear's place. Long day for me again tmr. I need some rest desperately...
