Kopi Session
Got a fright first thing this morning when I came in and checked my email. Manager invited me to a "Kopi session" with her and senior manager this Fri. Checked with my mentor and made sure that I didn't make any major errors to warrant such a meeting. Hmmm... Mentor said probably got headcount and I could be converted alr. I dun wanna get my hopes high. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. It's probably just a review bah...
I love packages! Haha... It's like opening present to me. Even though it's just some letter from counterparty, I still enjoy the process of unwrapping. I know it's kinda silly of me. But whatever, Blah!

Syndrome
I have a very bad syndrome - that is I can't stop buying things! My wardrobe collapsed 3 times in a row last night (despite me fixing and hanging the clothes back time and time again). My dad finally screwed 2 nails so that the bar rod wouldn't drop anymore. Sickening lor... I wanted to sleep at 10pm. Ended up sleeping close to 12am. Now, some of the clothes are still lying on my bed, sofa and chair cos I'm simply too tired and lazy to hang them back. I also dun dare to hang too much things alr. Last night, in my fit of anger over this stupid rod, I threw away a number of clothes.Something is very wrong with me! I dunno why I keep thinking that I dun have enough of this and that so I continue buying. Furthermore, I dun like the idea of frequently repeating items that I wore. I need to change this stupid mindset. Unknowingly, all my cupboards, wardrobe and drawers are bursting already. This is certainly not a good sign. Come to think of it, I seriously do not need anything new anymore. I already have everything that I need, in fact probably so much more than what I really need. Haha...
Help me! Stop me from buying already! I also need to learn the habit of throwing away some stuffs. I often use things till they are "fully utilised" (means almost torn and tattered) before I bear to throw them away cos I have the mentality that I can't get the exact same item anymore. Hence, I have a number of brand new clothes, shoes and bags that have been lying around for quite some time. Some dates back to my HK and Bangkok trip. (Speaking of which, I miss HK soooo much. Time passes so fast, it's almost a year).
Here is something random. I like my current french-manicure-alike. Bought nail stickers at 2 for $1 with MT at Tanjong Pagar Plaza today. I still prefer to DIY most grooming stuffs on my own rather than head to those parlours. Oh yah, I bought 2 pairs of shoes this week. The rubber sole of my heels came off on Mon. I sent it for repair at Charles & Keith of Amara and bought another pair so that I have something to wear back to office. Then on Tue, I bought a pair of slippers from M)phosis at City Hall to replace the one in office. I finally trashed the pair of worn-out slippers in office today. Got so much things that I'm even contemplating leaving some shoes etc in office since I have a few drawers and compartments there. Well, at least these 2 shoe purchases are justified. Haha... See see, must stop me from buying. I just cannot refrain from doing so on my own.
Dear's exam is going to be over next week and we will be heading to JB for feast and shopping. Die... This means that I will shop a lot there. Argh! I know he will try to stop me but dunno feasible or not. Shit, shit, shit... Ppl always say: Too much money dunno where to spend and therefore always splurge on unnecessary stuffs. It doesn't apply to me lah cos I ain't that rich yet. I juz love to acquire new things that's all. Hehe...
Anyway, I wanted to apply leave next Fri so that I could enjoy a super long weekend with Thur being Labor Day. But it's too late, many of my colls have applied so I can't as the manpower will be quite small. Alright, you guys have a great weekend ahead!

Monthly Affair
Went shopping with Carisse yesterday. It's a monthly affair after we get our pay. Haha... We went to Orchard and City Hall. Took a break in between and we had high-tea at:
Had some free sandwiches and mocha cheese cake. I had iced chocolate while she ordered mango soda. The iced chocolate tastes good, even better than Coffee bean I think.
Both of us bought a Mango cardigan for $30 which I think is very cheap. Actually, it's not very cheap when you see other shops selling around 20 or even lower. But it's just the brand bah. Dun really see Mango's stuffs priced around that range anymore. Anyway, I only bought that cardigan for the day and a water bottle for Dear. Carisse bought some more bags and heels, ending up with a number of large paper bags. Haha... Oh yeah, Coach is having sale on some selected items. Almost bought a wallet cos there's 30% discount. Luckily, I didn't succumb to temptation. See u again next month, gal! Carisse headed to AMK for seafood dinner while I proceeded down to Adam Rd to meet Dear.
As usual, we had desserts at Island Creamery after dinner. This time, we had 2 scoops of ice-cream each so we didn't have to fight over the cookies and cream. Haha...
Shall end off with Dum dum's stupid dog. He's gonna scold me again. Haha... It's quite smart actually but always barking. So noisy :p

Enjoying life
I like my own private sanctuary in office. Haha... There are 2 LCD screens, my phone, whiteboard, sockets for me to charge my electrical appliances, metal cabinet where you could stick magnet on, the In and Out trays and many many drawers which you can't really see. Look, there's even a divider at the side so that people who walk past can't really see what I'm doing. Enjoy my work and look forward to the 12th of every month. That's the power of money :)
Met Jac after work to go to a salon at Tanjong Pagar. I had a hair cut while she did a hair spa. Dunno what the hair dresser did to my hair. It looks so straight after the hair cut. Am I really that fat? Dum dum said my face became so round...
A pic from my Bro's birthday dinner the other day. We ate at Streets at IMM. It's a Hong Kong cafe. Think it's quite cheap, 50 bucks for so much food.
I love my current lifestyle. Friends have complained to me that there's no life now after you start work. Kinda true cos everything has become a routine. But I think it's so much better than facing the books all day. You learn so much more in reality and there are more choices. Alright, I wanna go rest alr. Meeting Carisse for shopping/high-tea tmr...

Nokia 6500 Slide
I love my new phone so much. I couldn't stand the wait anymore so I went to IMM to buy it last night. Not the first time I do things on impulse anyway. Haha... There is 6500 classic and 6500 slide. Decided to get the slide one cos I nv tried such a phone before. And there is silver color too. Wanted to get silver initially. But somehow it seem to weigh heavier than the black one. The Starhub person told me that it's the same weight though. I think black is sleek lah. It comes with a free 256M memory card. I dun use much anyway...
Ok, can start saving after buying the phone like I told Josh. Furthermore, this month getting the growth dividend. Yeah! That's really like a bonus to me. Alright, I'm going off for lunch soon...

Noble House & Wala
One of my colleague treated us to dinner at Noble House on Friday as he was being promoted to manager. Noble House is part of the Tung Lok group in case some ppl are wondering. It was buffet ala-carte so we could order all we want.
Gosh, look at the price! He treated abt 15 of us. U can imagine how much the bill totalled up. The restaurant profited so much from our table alone lor. Wah... My heart pain for him man...
The double-boiled true-blue shark fin soup with chicken and mushroom.
Can never miss out my Mango pudding. Each of us had at least 2 rounds of desserts. I had this pudding and Chilled Honeydew with sago. Oh yah, Mei Tyng, Simeng and I shared a 2nd serving of Salmon sashimi. Very delicious~ But it wasted my run on Thur evening : (
Went shopping yest cos it's pay day. Lol... All my gal frenz weren't free. Luckily, I have my colls now. I went shopping with Simeng in the afternoon then we met Mei Tyng at Holland V to chill out at night. Poor Simeng lost her phone when we were out shopping. I was withdrawing some $$ from the DBS ATM lobby at Wheelock while Simeng updated her passbook. She put her paper bag and HP on top of the machine and forgot to take. By the time we turned back to retrieve, the phone was gone. Haiz... So poor thing...
Anyhow, I finally bought this Juicy Couture wristlet from Bugis to bring out for lunch. Didn't buy it last time cos I thought it was a bit overpriced. But now I couldn't care less cos I'm lazy to search for it plus I'm working alr. Haha...
I got a black cardigan from Zara too. Ok, more or less got what I needed for work. Still on the lookout for slippers though. The pair in office is peeling alr. Oh yeah, I also want a new phone. Yup, tat's abt it. Hehe...
Us chilling out at Wala...
I think I haven't been to Wala's live band for a few years alr. Shirleen's vocal is still as powerful. We stayed through all 3 sets. Quite some time since I stayed out this late also. Haha... Getting old alr, can't stay up late man. I was yawning away during the last set. Good thing we all stayed in the West and shared cab home. Shall see them again tmr at work...

Adam Road
We went to Adam Rd for dinner last night.
I was so famished, I guess. I forgot to take photos before I ate. By the time I remember, both our plates were empty alr. The supposedly famous nasi lemak...
Ok, I'm a mountain turtle. First time I tried Roti John. It's quite nice lah...
Then, we crossed the road to Island Creamery.
Oops... Pic of finishing ice-cream too. We ordered Cookies and Cream (our fav) and Nutella. We were fighting over a scoop full of cookies then it dropped onto the floor. Ended up both of us can't eat : (
I bought another top from BYSI. Haha... It's a little overpriced I think but I simply like the ribbon that you tie around the waist. I've got many similar tops like tat alr. Alright, I shall go rest in preparation for work again tmr and try to go for a run later. Ciao...

Work and more work
Mentor took leave so I had to cover her work. She went on an all-expenses paid (by her husband) trip to Melbourne. Shiok right? Next time, my hubby must also sponsor me! Anyway, this means that I'm super busy at work. Got back home just in time to shower, had my dinner and watch the 9pm show cos it's the last episode. More and more work responsibility for me. It's a one-man show lor. Attended my first meeting today. There's another one on Mon to review the ratings for custodians. And I'm going on course next Wed to Fri. Yippee! At least I can see that I'm progressing...Oh I must mention this: JP MORGAN CALLED ME TODAY! Now, I dun mean my office phone. They are calling me not as a counterparty but invited me for an interview next week. However, I rejected them outright, saying that I have secured a job. Stupid me : ( Gosh, I should have at least asked for the position etc. Wah lao... For a moment I thought I was being headhunted alr. No doubt I'm still flattered that they called lah. I didn't even apply to them. They said they picked my resume from NUS' portfolio. Haha...
Alright, I need to go rest now. My throat is feeling a bit sore alr. I wanna enjoy my weekend~
