Miscellaneous abt Work

Was chatting with my coll who has been looking for another job.

Me: Is it really so bad here?
S: Too comfortable already...

Hmmm got me thinking. I'm pretty comfy with my post as well. I noe it's not a good thing to be too comfortable. U will get complacent and start to slack. But I'm actually very curious abt how outside banks operate as this is my first perm job since graduation. But scared that I might not be able to come back again once I left. I'm content with the pay, environment and colls here. Juz hoping to learn and experience more. Oh well... Not going to make any silly decision in the meantime.

From my Executive Director: “Our comp started to selectively take on more risk from the second quarter of 2009, amidst growing confidence in the economic recovery. I am pleased that the 20-year return of the portfolio has improved. While the global economy is experiencing a rebound, the recovery path beyond this year is subject to significant uncertainties. But with vigilance and foresight, I am confident that we will continue to achieve superior and sustainable performance in the coming years.”

We have been in the headlines very often these days. Our Logistic Unit is going to be listed soon. A pity we couldn't participate in the IPO and restricted to buy the shares. Personally, I think it really has long-term value for investment. The paper also wrote that we have recovered most of the loss from the financial crisis. Looks like bonus is looking good next year =)
